Dr. Douglas Soderblom
Optometrist & Owner
Dr. Douglas Soderblom brings over 30 years of experience in optometry and has proudly owned and operated Loma Linda Optometry since 2000. As a well-known and trusted optometrist in the Loma Linda community, he has spent decades building lasting relationships and earning the deep respect of his patients and neighbors.
Dr. Soderblom earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Pacific Union College before receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1993. He is certified in the treatment and management of glaucoma and therapeutic eye care, offering comprehensive vision care for patients of all ages.
His clinical expertise includes routine eye exams, medical eye care, glaucoma management, specialty contact lenses (such as scleral lenses), and LASIK co-management. Dr. Soderblom’s approach centers on thorough, personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique vision and eye health needs. He also enjoys using the latest high-tech instruments to provide the highest level of care.
At Loma Linda Optometry, Dr. Soderblom and his dedicated team—including his wife, Rhonda, who provides invaluable support to the practice—are committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment. Alongside personalized eye care, the practice features a curated selection of designer frames to suit every patient’s style and visual needs.
Outside the office, Dr. Soderblom is a proud father of three, a grandfather to three grandchildren, and a devoted Los Angeles Dodgers fan. His strong community ties and dedication to family guide his practice philosophy: for Dr. Soderblom, optometry is about more than just eye care—it is about treating every patient like family.
Dr. Arthur Kim, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Kim brings more than a decade of experience in optometry, specializing in comprehensive and medical eye care. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry in 2013 after completing his undergraduate studies in Biology at Andrews University. During optometry school, he was elected Vice President of his class and received the prestigious Gold Key Award for leadership and service.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kim has provided comprehensive eye care in a variety of clinical settings, with experience in contact lenses, post-operative co-management, and the diagnosis and management of conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. He later founded and served as CEO of his own optometry practice, strengthening his commitment to creating a welcoming, patient-focused experience.
Dr. Kim is also passionate about medical mission work and the meaningful impact quality eye care can have on people’s lives. At Loma Linda Optometry, he looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients while providing thorough, personalized care for their vision and overall eye health.
Outside the office, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Dodgers, Lakers, and Rams.
